The Last Day of 2022

A few hours before 2023 was upon us
I drove to Shangri la in Mactan
On that same week, I got a call
from this family and I thought
traffic wont be too bad so I agreed.

Shangri la wasn’t too packed so we
had a great time walking around for pictures.
If I completely recall, this is only
their second time having someone
take their family pictures.

When we ran out of sun, we said our
goodbyes and I drove back home to
welcome the New Year.
Thank You everybody.

Just before the New Year

This year I met Dianne for pictures so many times.
The last instalment was just before the New Year.
She went home with Noah and asked for pictures
This time, with her side of the family
Who were all present after quite some time.

We settled with Vista Mar just before the sunset.
The weather, however, was a little gloomy
Despite, we walked around, had a good laugh
And before we knew it, we had piles of pictures.

Thank You kaayo Ianne!

Lina at 76

I can still recall how inexperienced I was when I took
pictures of Riella’s 1st born many years ago. We’ve known
each other from work and when I decided to pursue photography
full time, she was one of those who trusted me early.
When her brother got married, she also recommended me.

Earlier this month, she asked if I can take family portraits in
Casa Gorordo. Their mom was turning 76, and was going to have
an intimate celebration right after.

Thank You Riels for letting me capture these.

Chanel 3

We used to see each other annually until Covid happened.
Lucky for us, we only missed 2020.
We actually got to take pictures last year
And this year for Chanel’s 3rd Birthday

Come to think of it, next year will be their 10th
wedding anniversary. Which marks the first time, I met
Seven, Pach & Geraldine. Everything after that just
went by in a blink.

Seven & Pach, thank you for having me around for
around a decade already. I hope to see more of you
in the years to come.

A Little Celebration

I’ve been away from these kinds of gatherings for around 8
years when I decided to take on photography full time. But
now that I’m back to full time work, it’s kind of nice
to have these little celebrations.

This is, I think, the 3rd time we had this amount of food,
in the office for our little team. Nevertheless, we made
the most of it. We initially planned to celebrate somewhere
but, you know, things aren’t always in your control. Despite
the setback, we bounced back and had the time of our lives
with all the food and games.

Thank you teammates for everything that you do!!!
And a special mention to Billie, Yen, Yza for leading
the decorations.

Let’s all have a really Wonderful Christmas!!!
