The Latest Stories Of
Labor Day
I used to have quite the amount of time to scribble a few
words here just a few years ago. It’s wonderful how things
change in an instant. Not that I am complaining, it’s just that
some happenings need a little bit of adjustment. You know,
finding your stride and that sort of thing…
Do I miss it? Not too much. I guess it was good while it was there
but now, the priorities are kind of different. You can say
a little bit more wonderful than writing. Nevertheless, I’d like
to try and write every once in a while.
Today, I took my boys to Lilo-an to buy pots for our over-grown figs.
I told them we’ll pass by Coffee Madness but we ended up heading
to Apollo’s view first because I didn’t want them to miss the sunset.
On our way home we grabbed cookies & coffee beans from Coffee Madness
and arrived home just in time for dinner.

Raymond & Dea’s Super Small Wedding
With weddings returning to their usual format
I’d say Raymond and Dea’s can be considered super small
As a matter of fact, it was a little overwhelming
Because it brought nothing but nostalgia
It terribly resembled the day I got to walk down that same chapel back in 2021
I’d met Dea in the office where we’d bump into each at the pantry months ago
When she began to talk, I knew where it was going
I said yes, I was going to be there to take pictures
These days I approach weddings with reckless abandon
And I’m particularly grateful people like Dea and the few others
Allow me to just be myself. Somewhat good in pictures but better in blogging.
Nevertheless, I always give it my best
Although sometimes I feel my best isn’t good enough. What?
Thank You kaayo Raymond & Dea.

Alvin & Rheyna’s Wedding
This year marked a decade since I bumped into this family
Coincidentally, it was also around this time back in
2014 when I first met the bride’s elder sister in Krispy Kreme
Did I already tell you I left her payment on the table?
Luckily, I came back and it was still there :D
Thousands of pictures and all sorts of food after that
Here we are still. Peeling away the years with a deepening friendship.
I can still remember taking pictures during the proposal back in 2019.
Walking around my neighborhood back in 2020 for their pre wedding
And the civil wedding which happened around that time as well.
What I’m trying to say is, I am utterly grateful
To still be taking pictures for the same people
After 10 wonderful years.
Congratulations Alvin & Rheyna.
Thank You for always having me around.

Pearl & Carven’s Pig & Palm Wedding
<center>
This may have been the longest stretch
That I haven’t shot anything at all
It wasn’t a conscious choice, however
And I thought, it was what it was
But this weekend I shot back to back weddings
For the first time in such a long time
The first one’s from Pearl & Carven
Which, as you may have observed,
Pretty close to everything I have shot
Small church, tight group of people
You know the drill.
It reminded me of so, so many things
All of them beautiful.
Thank You Pearl & Carven

Paul & Joy’s Baclayon Church Wedding
Over 10 years ago, I have had the privilege to look after interns.
I would not have any issues if that happened now, but 10 years
ago, I was a 30-something without any background on being a
teacher at all. I was lucky, I guess, that the bunch I took under
my wing were kind kids who were as eager as me when it came
to learning.
Well, time flew by and here we are 10 fruitful years after. All of
them slowly settling in into life the best they can I could say.
One of those was Joy, who asked me a few months back if I can
come to Bohol to take pictures of her wedding. She had booked a
photographer already but asked me to take charge of the usually
missed pictures. Aha! So I did.
I had spent a little over a year with these kids yet I’d like
to think I taught them a little something which isn’t just about
work but about life particularly. At least I hope I did.
Nevertheless, I hope to see all of you in November, when another
one of you will settle down.
Thank You Paul & Joy!
