Jeherson and Florianne

This wedding was supposed to happen late April of last year.
Things took a turn for the worst but luckily, we still ended
up here. Florianne, however, thought of inviting us as guests
so we could enjoy the beach instead of asking me to shoot her
wedding. I guess, it still wasn’t a guarantee that I won’t be
bringing my camera.

But really, whether I was a guest or a photographer, the approach
is all the same. To stay out of the way and let the day happen
as it is supposed to be.

Ma’am/Sir and Jeherson, thank you for inviting me, Janice and Miggy. Beach tomorrow!

Thirdy, Bea and Kids

While enjoying our time here in Bantayan, I remembered my session
with Thirdy, Bea and their kids. Back in 2018, these two
tagged me along for an overnight stay and a few
family pictures before they got married.

As usual, the kids just joined in briefly and wanted the
beach more than the pictures. This meant that I was stuck
with Thirdy and Bea most of the time. It was brief but loads of food and fun. Thank You, you two!

Our Micro Wedding

It is quite easy writing about my wedding assignments, you
know? But to write about my own seems like a bit of
a challenge. Firstly because everything flew by in a heartbeat
and secondly because I still feel a little anxious from
just about everything. Hahaha.

There would have been less than 20 of us if not for the kids,
who were the happiest. One of them asked their Mama and
Papa to get married so they could go out again and
another one asked if they can go back to Tito Jeff’s wedding.

Despite of it all, even though our parents, family and a number
of loved ones cannot come, We Are Thankful. To everyone who lent
whatever it is they had to make sure our day would happen,
our hearts are grateful. Above all else, Thank You Lord.

Melanie and Luis

On Holy Thursday, we left the Cebu City at around 4AM
We drove off to Argao to take pictures of Luis and Melanie early
As soon as we arrived, they got dressed and we headed to Lawis
Unlike our first shoot, there were already people there
So we picked our spot and took a few pictures

These two will become parents soon
And I could not be happier they still asked me to take these
It was a reunion of some sort
And they also got to meet Janice and Miggy.

After Lawis, we ordered Jollibee for breakfast
And took a few more pictures at their house
Thank You Sir Luis and Ate Lan.

Lesly and Tsong

These days I get up before the sun rises to take pictures
On Thursday we left the city around 4AM, drove off to Argao
And shot portraits at Lawis just as the sun was rising.
This morning, I returned to Il Corso after a long while
For pre wedding pictures

I previously took Tsong and Lesly’s pre wedding pictures last year
During the first day of community quarantine at Plantation Bay
I thought it was a good idea to see them again
So I asked if we can meet for another set of pictures

I’m glad I didn’t learn how to move people into poses
If I did, I would be able to shoot you as you are
I guess this makes every single meeting special
Our eyes might not tell us much, but our hearts would argue otherwise.
