Miggy & Lar’s Wedding

“Jeff, can you please not take too many pictures of us?”
I heard Miggy said when I met him the first time a few months
prior to his wedding with Lar. They even asked me if I could
possibly just arrive at church. I smiled and then told both of
them that if I ever intruded their space on their wedding day
they have all the right to withhold any more payments to me.
In the end, we all laughed and I thought, I found my people.
~
Tim & I hand around like wallflowers on their wedding day.
We ate as guests, took pictures as newbies and mustered
all restraint to make sure we didn’t intrude or influence
how this union transpired so much so that when the wedding
planners asked if I had something in mind for the first look,
I told them to just let Miggy & Lar decide about it and we’ll
make sure there is photographic evidence.
~
So, so glad to arrive at this wedding.
~
Thank You Kim, Miggy & Lar.

11 Years with Seven & Pachille

Seven & Pachille are almost synonymous with my free fall
Into full time photography back in 2013
When we talked about this shoot, we thought 10 years
But really, it’s been 11 years since October of 2013

We missed some years because, you know?
But we’ve shot almost every October of every year since
From that 1st year in Marco Polo, to Dubai…
There are countless of pictures in my archive

When Pach asked if I could come over
I took the earliest Oceanjet just as a storm passed
Drove to their house in Panglao
Took these, and then hurried back home

11 Years.

Celine in Disney

My relationship with the people in the pictures have
Grown quite a bit over the last couple of years
Our lives changed, some got married, had kids,
Moved somewhere across the globe and moved back
Yet here we are still in front and behind a camera

There are countless of pictures between myself and this family
I remember crossing the bridge to Mactan in the height of Covid
If only to celebrate Birthdays with them
We’ve been inseparable since

When they asked if I can tag along to Disney
I didn’t think it was a question
My mind had already began packing
These are some of the pictures when Celine
The family’s first grand child turned one
In nowhere less than Disneyland!!!

Hong Kong

I felt both happy and sad as soon as I stepped out at
the arrivals lobby of the Hong Kong International Airport.
My first thoughts were that my kids should have been there with me
And that their Mama should have been with us too

It was one of those experiences that she and I often talked about
But sadly, it seems like I’d have to do those without her
This was just a brief stay, but I didn’t realize
That grief held a passport too

Hong Kong was warm but kept its charm
Something, that perhaps, only I can appreciate? Haha
I walked around, had coffee, went to Disney, ate noodles
And the next thing I knew, I was on a flight back home

I’ll see you again soon Hong Kong
