Loar and Niel

These days, I approach work like these as casually as I
could. And I’d usually tell you to dress in home clothes.
Luckily, most if not everyone agrees with me and we usually
just spend the session talking about life in quarantine.

I met Loar years back when people she knew got married to.
Those people were kind of waiting for this wedding too.
She and Niel told me it was quite a challenge preparing for
this wedding. Nevertheless, they’re pushing through and that’s
such a wonderful thing.

It was a good Sunday at Starbucks in Axis

They’re hiring too. I want to be a barista.

They didn’t ask for these pictures. I told them we were just having coffee.

I can only imagine all of the challenges in preparing for a wedding nowadays.

But these two are trying to defy the odds.

Chang and Maku Part 2

When we met around March Last year for some pre-wedding
pictures, we thought things were going to be alright around
June. Sadly, we’re till in the midst of a pandemic which doesn’t
look like it’s going to slow down real soon.

It was the first time we met again since March of last year.
I actually got married before they did. Hahaha. So I purposely
asked to meet them again to take a few pictures but more
importantly to catch up and all.

Really happy I got to meet Chang and Maku and how we kind of
share the same view about things. It makes work feel like
it’s not work. Obviously, we just talked and I took pictures.
See you again Attorneys!

We wanted to meet at the Renaissance but too bad it was closed.

Luckily, we had this place to ourselves.

I actually asked them to wear house clothes but this, to them, is already it.

But we had a good conversation, I must say.

Memories of Bali

I think I’ve written about this trip before but never mind.
This evening I’ve been telling Janice about the McDonalds near
where we were staying in Bali. It was pretty much the same
as the McDonalds that we have here except that their meals
cost thousands of pesos. Hello Indonesia!

Taken way back in 2017 when Jeffroger from RockPaperScissors
brought me with him for a wedding assignment in Le Meridien, Bali.
Of course, I said yes even if that meant rushing to the airport
because I had to finish a wedding here in Cebu before our
flight.

We arrived around lunch, I think, so we had the afternoon to walk around.

They look sad, but they’re actually pretty bad.

Remembering Dubai

These days feel like lines from Sunscreen, you know?
“Don’t worry about the future
Or worry, but know that worrying
Is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation
by chewing Bubble gum
The real troubles in your life
Are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind
The kind that blindsides you at 4 p.m. on some idle Tuesday”

Oh yeah. These were taken during my last trip to Dubai back
in 2018. Seven and Pach turned 5 years married around that
time and brought me along with them to the desert.

I think we had over a thousand pictures from this trip.

It’s also been a while since I took pictures of them.

We were supposed to head to Shanghai last year.

On their first night, they stayed in Burj Al-Arab. I rolled over in the toilet.

A 9-hour flight is still amazing. Thank You Seven and Pachille.

Sunrise Pajama Party

It’s a bit of a challenge working with me you know? And these
bunch ought to prove it to you. Because really, when I say
early, I mean before sunrise and when you ask me to take
candid pictures, I take candid in it’s truest sense. Like
still wearing your pajamas to get to Tops at 5:00AM.

I arrived at Tops when the moon was still visible from the sky.
We initially intended to just take a few pictures at The
Renaissance Cafe but ended up greeting the sunrise at Busay.
We’ll things have been strange these past couple of years,
and you know, we only get to meet 3-0 once in our lives.

Thank you everybody!

But a few moments later, this greeted me.

They asked me for pictures during that guys 30th.

Now it’s their sister’s turn to celebrate 3 and 0.

We woke up terribly early we still had things in our eyes.

Funny enough they are always around each other but rarely run out of stories to tell.

They said it’s been years since their last visit to Tops.

I think it’s my 3rd or 4th time this year.

The mountains looked amazing this morning.

I ask them to wake up early, they’re there.

It’s like he’s the one celebrating his birthday yeah?

They said they were so bad at math they use a calculator to add 10 + 10 just to make sure it’s really 20.
