A Little bit of Sun

t

We would have arrived at Tops when it was still eerily dark,
but it took us a while to find each other around Cebu IT
Park. So we settled for a little bit of Sun already. Still,
there was only us up there and it was wonderful.

I remember Gail asking about these pictures when the pandemic
was in full swing last year but we didn’t get to meet until a
few weeks back. She was suddenly asked to be away which
meant we had to shoot a little early than the date we agreed.

Look at this seemed like we were under control. A little bit of
sun, a little bit of fun and a little bit uran. Thank you
Art and Gail.

All at Sea

Love Ellise and Jerome are among the few people who aren’t
afraid to be themselves. Prior to meeting them, they only asked
for wedding pictures but somewhere along the way, I kind of managed
to convince them that we can wear ordinary clothes for pre weddings
and we can actually drive to Argao and wait for the sunset there.

I can actually still remember the humba and egg at the Alex Kafe
while writing this down and that while on our way there, I kept
thinking how will everything turn out. Like always, I just let
things happen as they should and in the end, we managed to freeze
the fun in all of these.

Thank You Love Elllise, Jerome, Allan, Tata and Aims.

Love Ellise and Jerome

When I went back to shooting weddings amidst the situation,
I decided I’d shoot by myself. So I got a little anxious upon
learning that Jerome was going to get ready at a different location
as this meant I had to leave the the bride when I take pictures
of the groom. As luck would have it, these two understand what
I bring to the table. I’m almost certain that they booked
me because of something they couldn’t see in these pictures.

There were only a few of us up there at Sermon on the Mount
but I’m sure the laughter, tears and cheers can be heard from
miles away. Matter of fact, I got too caught up taking pictures
I had to drive by McDonalds because I missed dinner. Nevertheless,
I could not be anymore thankful to you, Love Ellise and Jerome
for inviting me over.

edit:When I sat down to have lunch, someone made sure we
had enough food and drinks. I learned later on he was Tatay,
the bride’s father and I thought, that was the most beautiful
thing I witnessed that day.

Era Nen

My first conversation with Era still sticks to me to
this very day. It was around the same time a few years ago
when she asked for the same maternity pictures. We went
back and fourth because I didn’t want to shoot anything
with props, backdrops or anything made up. Luckily, she
trusted me and we’re still shooting to this very day.

She’s giving birth to another baby soon so I was really glad
she asked for pictures again. Like most things these days,
we moved, and moved the schedule but two weeks ago, these
pictures happened. It was quick and fun and I’m sure
we’ll remember all of these stories from here onwards.

Congratulations Era, Marky, Ezra, Elizabeth and Raul for
another blessing real soon!

Loar and Niel’s MECQ Wedding

Around the same time last year, I shot my first wedding since
Covid came around. There were only 10 of us in the church
including the priest. The preparations were done at the bride’s
house where the reception also took place. It was like
back in the 80 or early 90’s all over again.

This wedding was years in the making. It’s kind of ironic
that they chose to get married during the most difficult times
to get married. If you ask me, that kind of resolve is
what is required to marry someone.

Thank You Niel and Loar for asking me to take the pictures.
It was nothing short of wonderful.
