The Latest Stories Of
Year Two
While we were walking towards the southern end of Il Corso
I kept wondering, “Will Erick & Eurika notice that these are
pretty much the same pictures as when we first met for
their wedding 2 days before the lockdown back in 2020?”.
Sometimes I run into trouble trying to do things differently.
I guess boring, or shall we call it consistency is my thing.
So while sitting down and thinking about it, I thought.
“The pictures might look the same but over time the people
in it will have changed. So if we do this for the long haul,
the same people will look older in pretty much the same
boring pictures. And that in itself, is beautiful.”
Thank You Erick & Eurika. See you again the same time next year?

Michelle & Jeffrey’s Wedding
Michelle’s Papa approached me as soon as I arrived at the
venue for the wedding preparations. He said, “na hurot na jud Jeff”.
Which in english translates to, “They’ve all figured it out”.
You would argue that it’s not but I kind of read between the lines.
I was there when his eldest daughter tied the knot. I even
remember most of the advice he gave. Back in 2019, when Melanie
got married, I was there too. Which only made sense that I had
to be there when the youngest daughter eventually figured it out.
Thank You Michelle, Melanie & Mima. There are no words.

Peter & Remy’s Fiftieth
The weekend has never been as busy as this for the past 2 years.
It usually was just spent at home, you know?
Instead, I got to spend it taking pictures for Peter & Remy’s
50th Wedding Anniversary
I can’t recall the last time I took 50th Anniversary photos
Nevertheless, it was wonderful & heartwarming.
As the usual, I hang around did my thing
And these are our pictures. Thank you everybody.

Coxon Layne
Back in 2013, I received an inquiry in the middle of a movie
This was for a baptism coverage and I recall agreeing for
as long as I get to shoot a few pictures prior to the event
I’m a little embarrassed looking back at those pictures
Because the mom of that little boy turned out to be
one of the best new born photographer in town.
Luckily for me, we kept the friendship going over the years
And it only made sense to let her take pictures of our little boy
Thank You Mamdyan for taking time to capture these pictures of
Coxon Layne.

Barangay Rada
We started New Years rather early and woke up 30 minutes past 4AM.
Familiar faces asked us to drop by Siri Yangu in San Remegio for
New Years Day pictures I drove slowly because too many of the street
lights still weren’t working. Luckily, Google showed me a nice route
to San Remegio so we arrived in just under 3 hours.
We were welcomed with hot coffee and endless conversations around
the dining table where they celebrated New Year. The decorations
were still there and the mahjong table on the side looked like it
was working over time. We threw stories around, about the struggles
of 2020 and 2021, about work, Odette and Yolanda, whatsoever.
After a delightful breakfast, they took turns composing themselves
in front of my camera. It was a struggle than our first session more
than 5 years ago as new faces have been added. Nevertheless, it was
as fun, if not more fun than the first one. In the end we settled with all of this pictures.
Thank You Everybody. Happy, happy New Year!
