Janine

Around this time last week, I was still out partying first, and
taking pictures 2nd at the Radisson. Rolando invited me over
to celebrate Janine’s XXth Birthday. I was not just a photographer
but I was a guest too. In fact, I was introduced as a “relative”.
Imagine that! Hahaha.

It’s almost a decade since I first met Janine and her family.
The kids, who were my usual subjects, are all grown up now.
One of them, Jadon, actually approached me and said,”Thank You
for coming and taking pictures.” It was heart warming.

We went a little over the time limit because everyone had such a
great time. I was part of the pictorials too! Lando & Janine,
Thank You Very Much for having me.

Matt, Lesty & Family vol. 2

Before Covid broke loose, I was supposed to fly to Sydney
Because these 2 were getting married down under
We had everything planned except that my Visa Application
wasn’t approved and unfortunately, I was stuck in Cebu.

Back in 2018, I took pictures when there were just 3 of them
And much like these photographs, it was all just random
I was really happy Lesty asked me for more pictures
Just before their trip to Cebu earlier this month
It was crazy picking pictures for these post
Because Antoine & Jacque made everything so good.

Thank You Lesty & Matt.

Another Shangri-la Afternoon

After I got a little bit of rest on the first weekends of July,
I was out shooting families again last weekend. The first
instalment is from Espen & Maricris who came home after a couple
of years.

Espen asked me in instagram for these a few months back.
I was hesitant to shoot at Shang because of their security
requirements. Luckily the process is better now.

When I arrived for the shoot, Lukas was already sweaty from
running around but that is always the case with kids. We
did some quick introductions and went out for some pictures.
These are some of them. Thank You Espen and Maricirs.

Shangri-la Sessions

Back in 2011 or 2012, these bunch trusted me to capture
the wedding of on of theirs. I was lucky enough to be at
the right place and the right time because I really didn’t
have experience or training to shoot weddings prior to
Lizette and AJ’s wedding around a decade ago.

There they were, in front of my camera yet again. This time
with their kids and the rest of their family. After a turbulent
couple of years, they finally got the chance to come home.

It rained and rained in the morning of our scheduled session.
Luckily, the sun shone a little bit and allowed us to capture
these and many more.
Thank You Ijo, Lizette, AJ & the rest of the family.

2 Years in the Making

This year, I got lucky enough to lead a really great team
It took us a while to personally see each other
What? With the pandemic and all right?
But after we were made to Return to Office
We got to know each other a little better
With each and every office laugher

We booked the Sea Mansion back in April with no expectations
The next thing we knew, we were packed inside in a car
Bound for Carmen, north of Cebu City

We never laughed as hard as these past 2 days
The food was great, the places was expensive, I meant awesome :)
Which was a recipe for a really, really memorable time.
