Last Friday, I decided to take the boys to Dumaguete City
I thought it would be good for us to experience the long bus ride heading there
And the familiar “Cokaliong Shipping Lines Incorporated
Passenger Safety is always committed” boat ride going home.

Years ago, prior to the pandemic, I was in Dumaguete almost every month.
This was my first trip back to the Land of Gasoline Stations in around 5 years
And I could not be happier Kuya & Coxon are coming with me

Surprisingly, the bus ride wasn’t too bad, I thought I did quite well
And since we took the Dumaguete Bus, we alighted by the boulevard 7 hours after.

I didn’t intend on doing anything aside from grabbing sourdough from Little Harvest,
Eating Jo’s Chicken, stopping by Sans Rival perhaps
And letting the boys play with their cousins

We ran out of Tourist Accommodation Tickets going home so we got the regular ones
Which I think was a blessing because I can only imagine
How cold it would have been.

The boys slept a little after midnight while I did a little reading
Kuya wanted to catch the sunrise but the weather didn’t permit it
And after another 7 hour boat ride, we were finally home.

Thank you cousin & Nabi for letting us stay with you and play with the kids.
