There would have been an unlimited supply of words to accompany
this blog considering it is Sinulog. However, trying to find the
right ones to describe the general feeling of this year’s
celebration would still do no justice. Yes, most if not all of
us celebrated the feast but with a lingering sadness hanging
on our shoulders.
We went out and drove the usual parade route today.
There are hints of celebration everywhere still but
I can only imagine how great it would have been if not….
Despite of it all, Pit Senyor!!!
We parked at the Metropolitan Cathedral because it was nearest the Basilica.
This year’s celebration is difficult for everybody. These ladies especially.
You can’t lock nature.
What used to be a street full of devotees.
Still happy I got to go inside the Basilica.
Along with some people too.

And just luckily before a lot of people flocked inside.

And just like that, what was supposed to be the day for the solemn procession was over.

It rained on our way home.
Today, we went out again to see the streets.
