Towards the end of Dodong and Lailai’s Thank Yous
I heard my name being mentioned
They said they were really happy they bumped into me
Because we somehow share the same values
Lailai said they weren’t too concerned with things that only the eyes can see
And was more focused about starting their lives the right way
With a wedding that, despite the situation, reflects their values
Simple, nothing out of the ordinary but meaningful.
I wont ask you to something you don’t usually do
Mainly because I don’t know how to pose people
But I think I know a thing or two about making you feel comfortable as you are
And if I can capture that on camera, that’s more than enough for me.

I passed by this church countless of times but earlier was my first time to go inside.
The Pastor.
After a brief conversation, the ceremony started.
There were just a few of us inside the Pastor’s office.
Quite appropriate.
Everybody listened, including me, to the Pastor’s wise words about marriage. He has been married for more than 60 years.
The final prayer
And then the first kiss.
I used to pass by Gorordo always. Now, I can count the times I pass by here in a month.
We took a few pictures before lunch started.

And Lailai.
They weren’t used to be in front of the camera. My kind of people.
The cookies were made by Aiko while the styling by First of April Designs.
The bouquet, too, was made by April.
I did have a seat reserved for me.
