The weather was pretty bad when I came home from Taiwan
This was early in December
When a storm battered the Philippines
As they usually would during those times
I thought we were going to postpone the session
But Johanna told me we’re pushing through
Rain, shine or whatever the weather
I couldn’t be happier we did
And yes there was sun and wind and rain
But I would not think twice
And do it all over again
Thank You Johanna and Chris
Johanna’s family has a little forest in their compound.
We started there
As always, there’s a little awkwardness
But it soon faded away
And we became naturals at it.
It was the first time I met Chris
He hails from Switzerland
We walked around their forest.
And took pictures of everything
I used a lot of greens for the foreground.
I could not be happier.
And that these two were also game.
I met Johanna a few months before this session
I told her it was nice to talk a bit before shooting.
Because that would make everything a little lighter.
I also visited their place to check the area.
So I’ve pretty much had an idea how the pictures would look.
But of course I left a few things
To chance.
After all, it’s not about me.
It’s all about you.
And all about these.
And that.
I mostly just observe
And capture you the way you are.
I knew I had to use the trampoline
And I jumped with them
It was fun but terribly exhausting
Coincidentally, one of Johanna’s aunt was my previous boss in Aboitiz.
Hey Chris.
I always hide behind leaves.
Johanna’s turn.
This is her aunt’s house.
Terribly cool.
I thought they fit right in.
Another one of her aunts owned vintage cars.
Oh yea!
They were terribly nice.
And expensive I’m sure.
After lunch we headed to the mountains.
It rained but we didn’t mind.
Coffee?
These two had the time of their lives.
A foggy walk.
Late afternoon.
To more candid sessions.
They did these by themselves.
More coffee and laughter.
Because why not!
Like a scene from a movie.
And a few more pictures.
Before we called it a day.
Thank You Johanna and Chris.
