In a way these two spurred some sort of movement
So now people ask me to take pictures of them
As they are, or I think?
No fancy covers and all those things
Just the human beings that they are
We’ve never missed a month since first meeting in July of 2018
But when we meet now, we’d normally have coffee or drinks with alchohol, sort of
Last wednesday they asked if I can show them how I take pictures
So we met and ate cake and club house sandwiches
And then went out for a sort of photo walk
We started of at Dessert Factory and had these club house sandwiches. We did a little bit of the theories here. ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture and Rule of 3rds.
After almost an hour, we stepped out to the hazy sea front of Il Corso. Melanie and Luis asked how I’d capture this so I showed them a few ways.
One.
Two.
Three.
I’m quite sure I’d have the same questions years back so I told both of them to just practice if they are really interested.
After all, like most things, time is the answer.
When I started out, everything was overwhelming too.
After a few pictures by the sea, we walked towards the greeneries.
So I took a few photos while I walked ahead.
Because, I had to take this too!
We wished there was a decent sunset but most of the haze hid the sun. The grasses still looked nice.
I took the chucks for a spin. I’ve never used it in as many years as I can remember. Luckily they are still alive.
You’d really won’t think this is such a nice place. But I’ve learned to appreciate the little things so this grassy area is my go to place.
Sadly, people litter.
See?
I brought my favorite lenses to so they can see the difference between each one.
Oh yeah!
What’s up Sir Luis?
So happy of the new discoveries?
More importantly, I showed them how I take pictures too. So I took this.
And then asked them to stand in front of me like so many times when we had our monthly sessions.
And then looking out to sea.
It’s amazing how little movement makes all the difference, right?
I also, particularly, like waiting until it’s almost dark.
Hoi!
I’m sure these two had a lot to digest.
I’d say the pictures from the Huawei P30 with the Leica lens had excellent color. Better than a lot of phones, I must say. But I’m Apple forever! Hahaha.
I let them shoot each other too.
I don’t see myself being good a sharing.
Luckily it all worked out well.
Sometimes you have to make faces too just so that the subjects won’t know if you actually know what you are doing. Seriously!
We are almost out of light.
But still good.
We ended the session with this picture of Cebu City from Il Corso. And the rest of the night laughing our hearts out to Beergharita. See you next month Luis and Melanie!
