Yesterday afternoon, I got to take pictures of Collin and Jelaine
They arrived from Singapore earlier that day
It was their first time in Cebu City
And wanted to see the flower farms up in Busay first
I offered to drive them up the mountains and picked them up
From their hotel earlier than most shoots because it was gloomy
Stephen and Ash came along which made our afternoon all the better
On our way to Sirao we exchanged stories about Singapore and Cebu
Before heading back to the City we passed by the road
Heading towards the Osmeña Botanical Garden and took more pictures
And then we dropped them off at Ayala Center and told them where to eat.
But not before telling Jelaine to try the Avocado Cream Pie!
I guess I’ll see you two in Singapore by the month’s end.
Can la?
Like most of the time, it all started off awkwardly. My nerves still get the best of me after all these years.
Jelaine brought with her a camera so she took pictures in between.
She told me it took her quite a while to decide to ask me for pictures. I’m really glad she did.
Together with her husband, Collin, they arrived from Singapore the morning before we drove up to Busay.
She says Collin doesn’t like pictures too much. The truth is, I didn’t notice it at all. Collin was such a good sport.
I took pictures of everything.
Movement. Love is the movement.
See what I told you about Collin being really cool about pictures?
We were lucky the weather was really cool we didn’t have to wait until late in the afternoon for pictures.
It was their first time in Cebu City.
Good thing I keep coming back to Singapore so I’m very conversant in Singlish.
I Singlished at will la! Right Jelaine?
Also, Sirao has really expanded over the years but since it was a Holiday, it was packed with people. We had to take turns. Hahaha.
I picked them up at their hotel and drove them up to Busay.
Stephen and Ash actually came with me on a random decision.
I couldn’t decide if this is better than the next one.
So here’s the second picture.
To add to our luck, everything was blooming.
Hey, you two. I guess I’ll be seeing you in Singapore is it?
Really glad I got to exercise my Singaporean English with these two. Hahaha.
I remember them smiling at a debutant shooting pictures on the other side.
I kinda think these yellow ones were really cool.
Jelaine didn’t see the bees. She got a bit scared when I told her they were all over.
But we still took more pictures.
We basically roamed around the whole garden. It was a good cardio exercise.
I moved in close when I needed to.
And backed off a bit to observe how they move.
Looking not really camera shy Mr. Collin.
Jelaine was looking for the huge concrete hand where one can take pictures but decided not to after this.
We wanted sweet corn by the road but like I said, it was a holiday. Supplies ran out.
So I brought them to a new road just beside Tops.
The breeze was really nice up there.
I think I’m coming back for more pictures.
Thank you again Jelaine for taking a chance on me.
More solos! Hahaha.
And a little bit of downhill walking.
Jelaine thought this place felt a little Lala Land-ish. Good thing I like that movie too and had the soundtrack on my phone. We play Another Day of Sun while taking these.
But for this post, I picked Have a Nice Day by Stereophonics because it was the first song I thought about when I went through the pictures.
Leaving you with a line from the song. It fit our mini-road trip perfectly because we weren’t really sure we were going but it all turned out perfect. Thank You Collin and Jelaine.
