Tonight, I got to see Luis, Melanie and Jessa again.
It was around the same time last year when our series of meetings took off
Only this time, I didn’t bring a camera even if I thought of bringing one
Luckily they were in the city and I didn’t have anything on the calendar
We’d share challenging and funny stories about the wedding
We kept coming back to our monthly sessions and laughed all over again
When I got home, I looked at our pictures again
Melanie told me she keeps coming back to the blog to see them
And I thought I’d write about December
When out of the blue I thought we’d wait for the sunrise in Argao.
Thanks for the last night Luis, Melanie and Doc.
I’ll make sure I take pictures next time around.
We set our alarms at 430AM to catch the sunrise.
And all we captured when we arrived were shadows.
In my mind, however, I kind off knew the kind of pictures we’ll be getting
We also hurriedly brewed coffee before we left.
The shoreline was really peaceful except for a few dogs barking and the sound of the crashing waves.
We didn’t even had the time to get our hair done. I wish someone took pictures of me.
But those little things didn’t matter.
We only wanted to have a good time.
Not sure if our coffee cups were still warm.
Or if these two only made coffee for themselves forgetting about me. Hahaha.
But all-in-all, everything was really cool.
We walked and walked.
And sometimes, I distanced myself to observe them.
But this was our 6th month of pictures, by then they’d become really comfortable with me running around.
The best thing was, we brought chairs.
And set them up where the end of the waves barely touches our feet.
I mostly get inspiration from songs. This one’s from Coffee by Copeland.
Double date?
We arrived earlier than the fisher folks.

We played like kids.
And I just took and took pictures whenever I felt like it.
I captured every bit of reaction they had.
One of Melanie’s closest friends, Jessa, told me this session was most reflective of who these two are. There was really no hiding between neat clothes or even a good morning bath. Because we woke up, washes our face, got dressed, made coffee and drove off to the sea.
I don’t ever miss subtleties such as this.

I can’t quite explain but they say a lot of things no words can ever convey.
I’m just over acting, by the way.
But it’s true.
There was more cardio exercises for me. Running far, running close and over again.
