I was in the middle of watching Thor when I received Dyan’s SMS asking if I shoot Baptisms. I believe I said yes in one condition. Like most of the baptism shoots I previously did, I asked Dyan if I can shoot mini-portraits for her Baby prior to the baptism. She happily agreed and it was a done deal. I’ve always believed that no matter how you shoot babies, they always end up adorable. I love to capture people, places and things naturally and tell the story by the way things are arranged, the way places are lit up by a certain amount of sun and in the case of people, through their eyes. Babies, kids, grown-ups are all the same. Their eyes tell their story.
Gian’s Dad, Reylan, picked me up somewhere in Guadalupe armed only with a camera & a 50mm lens. No fancy, no anything. I was actually a bit embarrassed at first, I always am, when he asked me how I started photography but I think we got along. We both work from home :) Hahaha.
I shot Gian in 3 baby clothes. Obviously he’s Captain America in one of them, a Purple spider in the second and a handsome little man thirdly. I hurried home after the shoot to work on the pictures and realised that these is exactly how I wanted the pictures to be…

Gian Grey, Happy Three Months Little Boy! I wish we get in touch when you are a little older. I am a little teary eyed realising these photographs will forever remain and I’m glad you Mom allowed me to capture these lovelies. It was really nice talking to you earlier. You know? Even if all you did was stare at me and smile once in a while. See you on Saturday :)
