I have to admit that I LOVE, love stories… To be honest, I seldom watch action flicks. The last movie I saw was Safe Haven :) Hahaha. So when one of the best Wedding Coordinators in Cebu, Team Otep, asked if I was available to shoot Charmaine & Philip’s 12th year anniversary portraits, it was an offer I could not resist. After all, that’s another LOVE STORY learning about.
Philip had to court Charmaine multiple times. Make that 6 times. Prior to that all he heard was “No”. We’ll Philips perseverance & patience seemed to have won Charmaine over when they first met at a KFC Branch here in Cebu City more than a decade ago. I was all soaked up in their story I can’t exactly recall all the details but she said he didn’t have time for boys and needed the work and Philip, well he just didn’t quit on her. Around the sixth time, he tried to give her the space she needed but that’s when she realized how important he was in her life :D
Years after, they now have Phoebe, found new meaning in life through Jesus Christ and celebrated 12 years of Marriage. Not exactly a walk in the park if you ask me. Coincidentally, Otep is one of Charmaine’s closest friends. As a matter of fact, it was Charmaine who helped launched Otep’s Wedding Career as he hosted Charmaine & Philip’s Wedding back then. I can only wish I already shot weddings then :) Hahaha!
For their portraits we picked Camp Marina because of the beautiful light it offered and headed to Busay later in the afternoon.
Charmaine & Philip… I can’t Thank You enough for letting me freeze a few memories of you and for allowing me to soak in the beauty of you LOVE Story. And of course, thank you to Team Otep featuring Margarette Bud on HMUA & Precious Deggy.
