I recently came from Penang, Malaysia to attend the World Photo Fest or shall we say to get to meet Jasmine Star in person :P And I know I’ve kinda been talking a lot about that experience here lately because, really, I still can’t get over the feeling of meeting one of your idols in real life!!! I mean, how rare is that? Sssshhhhhh…
A few hours after I got home, I kept myself busy and dived right into a Post Wedding Session with Chris & Joy(cheers to having marrying officemates!). I purposely set the session date to coincide with my return trip in the hopes of applying the things I’ve learned and evaluating if I shot differently after. The answer is OF COURSE, a whole lot differently! I wish I can keep up and keep building on the lessons I picked up at the World Photo Fest…
I was all smiles when Joy asked if I shoot post wedding sessions. She wanted pretty & fun photographs with some sort of little editorial feel :) Above all, she wanted that flower crown and that’s the bottom line. Hahaha! I quickly suggested to shoot around 4PM, when the light is at it’s finest and we couldn’t have picked a better location than Amara in Liloan, Cebu.
I’m actually a little proud of the photographs we took that day and I pray I continue to shoot photographs as pretty as these tomorrow, next week, next month, next year and forever more!!!
Previously, I never would have captured this shot but after coming from Malaysia, I knew I had to :)
Joy kept telling me she didn’t enjoy being in front of the camera as much. I’m not sure what I did but that afternoon, everything pretty just fell into place.
Did I already tell you how pretty the light that afternoon was?
p.s. Tomorrow, I’m helping Sandy realize one of her dreams. Meeting Mr. A-Z!
